Jerusalem Scavenger Hunt 2023

In July 2023, Secret al Quds organized a unique Scavenger Hunt hat guided our members on a journey through the intricate pathways and historic four main quarters of Jerusalem’s Old City.

The adventure began in the Christian Quarter, where participants searched for unique graffiti art blending ancient history with contemporary culture, illustrating Jerusalem’s diverse cultural tapestry.

Next, in the Armenian Quarter, the focus shifted towards historical reflection as teams located a map commemorating the Armenian Genocide, highlighting the profound historical narratives within the city.

In the Jewish Quarter, participants engaged with the local art scene, experiencing the connection between Jerusalem’s heritage and its current artistic endeavors.

The Muslim Quarter provided a vibrant market scene, challenging participants to find traditional fabrics and enjoy some of the city’s finest falafel, immersing them in the daily life and culinary heritage of Jerusalem.

Additional activities included searching for a distinctive souvenir and photographing the Old City’s cats, offering lighter moments of discovery and fun.

The event concluded with prizes for the winning team who finished the challenge first, followed by a picnic, allowing participants to share what they had found and learned. This day was about exploration, making new friends, and gaining a deeper understanding of Jerusalem.

The Scavenger Hunt facilitated a direct engagement with the city, its history, and its culture, encouraging a meaningful connection among participants.
