Jerusalem Trivia Night – September 2024

Saray Bakery & Cafe in Shuafat, Jerusalem hosted Secret al Quds for a September Trivia Night to remember. This time, we went digital and everyone was able to enjoy even more of each other’s company and the delicious menu full of pizzas, focaccia, pizzas, cakes, milkshakes, and alcohol-free cocktails at the beautiful newly opened venue on the main street of Shuafat near the Beit Hanina light rail station.

The Venue: Saray Bakery & Cafe

We were fortunate to host our event at the stunning Saray Cafe, where we occupied a dedicated area upstairs. The atmosphere was perfect – cozy, vibrant, and spacious enough to host our trivia enthusiasts. It was a full house, and everyone enjoyed the delicious menu offerings! From mouth-watering pizzas and fresh salads to delectable desserts, the cafe kept our energy high throughout the evening. A big shout-out to Saray Cafe for their incredible hospitality!

The Trivia

The trivia featured a variety of categories that tested everyone’s knowledge across different subjects. Here’s a quick peek at some of the topics we explored:

Categories Covered:

  • Movies: Questions ranged from classics like “Back to the Future” to Egyptian cinema, with participants recalling actors and iconic lines.
  • Food: We explored international cuisine, from Italian carpaccio to Japanese soba noodles.
  • Jerusalem: Our community members showed off their local knowledge with questions about the history and culture of Jerusalem.
  • Flags: The trivia took us around the world, identifying flags from various countries.
  • Music: We danced through questions on Arabic, Western, and global music trends.
  • Mythology: We dove into Norse, Greek, and Middle Eastern myths.
  • Famous Firsts: The night included questions on historical milestones and groundbreaking achievements.

Or that “Amélie” is the French film that follows the adventures of a young waitress in Paris?
